But now, the reverse is the reality. All the candidates slated for interview, ASPs and Inspector cadres, have been shortchanged. Majority of the reserves were also affected. It is worthy to note that Police Service Commission released all successful candidate names in December 2016. The reality now is 260 succesful ASP candidates slated for interview have been discarded and changed with names that were not in the list released by Police Service Commission in December 2016.
The affected candidates have gone to Police Service Commission headquarters in Abuja where they were told point blank their names have been changed, and the recruitment is over. Attached is an audio clip
Modified: The audio clip is too large. I'll resize it and add it later.
Is this how we will continue in Nigeria? Where is the hope for those without 'long legs'? Buhari made us believe he is a disciplined man who will do things the right way without allowing long legism, and corruption. But we have discovered otherwise.
The worst part of this charade was that most of the individuals who were shortlisted and later shortchanged resigned from the little job they were doing to receive the call to serve their country when Police Service Commission told them to resume camp December 31st, 2016. Now they have been shortchanged and they are with no job despite the fact that PSC pasted their names all over the newspapers and online. This is an impunity and cheating of the highest order.
The only solution is for PSC to restore these individuals stolen status, get them interviewed and absorb them into NPF if found worthy. They must get back their stolen rights.
Lalasticlala, please improve Nigeria like you always do by pushing this FP for the media teams of PMB, Osinbajo and others to see.
